De La Salle Elementary
(Catholic Jubilee School in the Tradition of the Christian Brothers)
Volunteers are needed for:
- Snack time and recess with Kindergarten (Monday-Friday, 10:15-11:00 a.m.)
- Reading with individual students (Monday-Friday, 11:00-11:45 a.m.)
- Lunch with the children (Monday-Friday, 11:45 a,m, -12:30 p.m.)
- Reading with 1st graders (Monday-Friday, 12:30 - 1:15 p.m.)
- Reading with 2nd graders (Monday-Friday, 1:30 - 2:15 p.m.)
- Extended care: help with homework and recreation. (Monday-Friday, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.)
- Adult English classes (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00- 8:00 p.m.)
- Literacy Programs (Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - Noon)
Additional opportunities at your convenience including: gardening, building upgrades, and technology assistance.
Holy Names Catholic School
(De LaSalle inner-city school)
Volunteers are needed for:
- Reading to students in the afternoon: 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
- Tutor children in the after school programs 3:00 - 5:30 p.m.
- One on one math, writing, and reading, with students - anytime
- Lead children's prayer service 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. on M, T, Th, F.
- Volunteers to teach piano lessons, guitar lessons
- Volunteers to coach athletic teams - soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball - after school
Dismas House
(Every 4th Sunday evening of the month)
Dismis House is an organization that provides living quarters for reintegrated inmates.
- Volunteers prepare meals and eat the meal with the residents. For more information please call or email Campus Ministry.
