COUNSELING COURSES COUN 300, 301. COUNSELOR TRAINING (Formerly EDUC 300, 301) This is a special training program for selected volunteers chosen as Peer Counselors. The paraprofessional trainee participates in an intensive counseling internship designed to bring about the best possible adjustment of new students to university life in the ORIN 100 course required of all freshmen. Prerequisite: Approval of instructor. Offered in the Fall and Spring. Two semesters; three credits each COUN 310, 311. CAREER COUNSELOR TRAINING (Formerly EDUC 300, 301) This special program is designed to train selected Career Peer counselors to assist fellow students in various stages of their career development and to assist with various projects associated with the Career Center. Students will learn to clarify their own career objectives and develop job search skills, learn the dynamics of counseling others, and gain valuable leadership experience.
