GERMAN COURSES

The foreign language courses under this heading are offered on the campus of Rhodes College under the instruction of Rhodes faculty. See the Dean of School of Arts concerning these classes.

GRM 101-102. ELEMENTARY GERMAN.
Fundamentals of the German language: pronunciation, grammar, speaking, reading and writing. Offered in sequence in the Fall and Spring. Two semesters; eight credits

GRM 201-202. INTERMEDIATE GERMAN.
Continued practice of the basic language skills. Particular emphasis is placed on the reading and discussion of modem texts of literary and cultural interest, systematic vocabulary building, and simple composition. Continued oral practice in language laboratory and in small groups with native speakers. Prerequisite: German 102 or the equivalent. Offered in sequence in the Fall and Spring. Two semesters; eight credits

GRM 350-359. SPECIAL TOPICS IN GERMAN.
Topics of special interest related to German literature, language, or culture. Prerequisite: German 202 or the equivalent. Offered in Fall or Spring. One semester; three credits

GRM 450-459. SPECIAL TOPICS IN GERMAN.
Topics of special interest related to advanced study of German literature, language, or culture. Prerequisite: at least three 300-level courses in German or permission of instructor. Offered in Fall or Spring. One semester; three credits
