REGISTERING FOR A PLS COURSE
Note: PLS courses cannot be used to satisfy minimum credit hour requirements for financial aid.
You must register and pay for Performance Learning Systems courses through
PLS.
Enrollment CONFIRMATION
You must be admitted to a Program or as a Special Student before you are enrolled in the CBU system (see below for Special Student Application Procedures). Once you have been enrolled for the PLS course in the CBU System, you will receive an email from the Department of Education. If something is preventing you from registering (for example, a previous hold or missing transcript), you will be notified via email.
VIEWING YOUR GRADES & REQUESTING A CBU TRANSCRIPT
Note: Because the PLS Program is coded in the CBU system as an extended term course, grades and transcripts will not be available until the end of the second 8-week term.
Download instructions on how to check your grades via the BannerWeb system
or
Request a transcript through the CBU Registrar's Office.
---------------------------------------
Note: CBU students currently admitted and enrolled in a Program such as the M.Ed./MSEL/PLUS 30/45 do not complete the steps below.
APPLYING FOR ADMISSION AS A SPECIAL STUDENT
Download the PLS Special Student Application.
Request that transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (not just your degree institution) be sent to Graduate and Professional Studies. The application, $35 check or money order payable to CBU, and transcripts should be mailed to:
Christian Brothers University Graduate and Professional Studies 650 East Parkway South, Box T-5 Memphis, TN 38104
Note: Special Students are not eligible for financial aid. Also, transcript analysis and transfer credit are not available for Special Students. They are available to students who have been admitted to a program.
LETTER OF ADMISSION and temporary pin
After your application form, fee, and transcripts have been received and reviewed for admission, you will receive an official letter of acceptance from CBU. Keep this letter, as it contains your CBU University ID number.
You will receive a temporary BannerWeb PIN number from CBU shortly after your acceptance letter. Keep this number, as you will need it when setting up your BannerWeb account.
Returning Students
If you have not enrolled in a course for more than one semester, you must be re-admitted by submitting the Returning Students Form to the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies with your updated contact information and by submitting any transcripts of coursework taken since enrolling at CBU.
Thank you for choosing CBU and PLS!
