Behavioral Sciences

The mission of the Behavioral Sciences department is to provide a BA program in psychology with an integrated curriculum that will prepare students for successful graduate studies in psychology or related fields or for a successful career following graduation. The department is also dedicated to creating a productive research environment for the entire campus community on issues relating to psychology and sociology. In addition, Behavioral Sciences provide courses, which introduce the science, breadth, and personal application of psychology and sociology to students from all academic areas.

Students may obtain a BA in Psychology or in Applied Psychology with an emphasis in either Organizational Psychology or Criminal Justice. After graduating, students have pursued advanced degrees in School Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Community Counseling, and many other areas. With their BA students have started careers in such fields as
human resources, research analysis, and law enforcement.
