School of Business

Our paramount mission is to equip our students with the knowledge, analytic capability, critical thinking, leadership skills, and ethical moorings essential to successful and responsible business careers in a rapidly changing and technologically driven global business environment. A second dimension of our mission is to make a meaningful contribution to the growth, developmental, and educational needs of the Mid-South business community as well as the community-at-large by providing intellectual, teaching, and problem-solving services.

The School of Business offers two degrees designed to prepare graduates for leadership in the business world. The Bachelor of Science degree, with majors in Accounting and Business Administration, allows students to focus their academic experience on specific career paths in the traditional areas of Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing as well as specialized areas such as International Business, Sports Management, and Human Resources Management.

In addition to our undergraduate programs offered during the day and night, the School of Business offers a Master of Business Administration degree. The Cohort MBA (CMBA) at CBU continues the quality education tradition associated with the undergraduate degree programs. Over the years, the MBA has proven itself as the most popular professional degree, especially valuable for those making the transition from non–business disciplines to business fields. The CBU CMBA has proven to be a valuable additional educational asset for working professionals who have completed other graduate business related programs as well. Normally, such persons are able to transfer some of their credits into the CBU CMBA program. If you have completed another graduate program, be sure to advise us of this fact so that we can evaluate your transcript for transfer credits.

We also offer certificate programs in financial planning and project management.

Christian Brothers University's Certificate in Financial Planning (CFP) Program has been designed for professionals in the brokerage, insurance, accounting, banking, and related industries. Whether you are new to the financial services industry or a seasoned financial service professional, this program is designed to be equally beneficial.

The Graduate Certificate in Project Management (GCPM) is designed for both newcomers who want to gain knowledge and understanding of project management or for project management professionals (PMPs) who want to enhance their skills in this area. Students will find the Graduate Certificate in Project Management useful to enter or reenter the job market, to change careers, or for advancement in their chosen organization.
