Dr. Randel Price has industrial experience in petroleum refining and petrochemicals, primarily in the area of energy conservation technology. His research experience mostly deals with chemical process control systems.

Dr. Price currently teaches thermodynamics, material and energy balances, fluid mechanics, and process control. His current professional interests include chemical process safety and bioprocess engineering. He is active in the local section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Outside the classroom, Dr. Price is fond of movies with subtitles, knows that Wednesday is 'new comic book day', and manages to accumulate a great many useless and trivial facts.
