A degree in Chemistry can be used for many different occupations, including:
1) a preparation for a research career in chemistry or biochemistry
2) a preparation for medical school
3) a preparation for pharmacy school
4) a preparation for different areas in forensic science
5) a preparation for a
teaching licensure
in chemistry or both chemistry and biology.
We have developed paradigms for all five of these goals.
A degree in Biochemistry
provides a strong preparation for both the workplace and professional schools, including pharmacy school or medical school. The program places emphasis on development of a wide range of laboratory skills that are needed in today’s biomedical laboratories, whether they are found in industry or academia.
