CHEM 114 PRINCIPLES OF CHEMISTRY II

Catalog Data This is the second-semester Chemistry course for all students of science and chemical engineering. Topics include chemical thermodynamics and kinetics, equilibrium, precipitations, acids and bases, oxidation, and reduction, electrochemistry and nuclear reactions. Offered in the Spring semester. One semester; three credits
Prerequisite: CHEM 113 and CHEM 113L
Corequisite: CHEM 114L

Calculator Policy Scientific or graphing calculator is required
Goals The primary goal is to provide a balance of experimental observations, mathematical models, and theoretical concepts which may be used in all the natural sciences. Critical thinking and long term memory are stressed.
