Research by Subject - Anatomy & Physiology
DATABASES PERIODICALS

Click here for Sciences databases (includes Anatomy).

The best starting point for any sort of research, databases are large collections of information which may include citations, abstracts, ebooks, fulltext articles from scholarly journals or magazines, images, multi-media files and more.

TIP: Both the EBSCO databases (CINAHL and Academic Search Premier would be best for anatomical images) and the OVID health science journal collection allow you to extract pictures (x-rays, photographs, etc.) from the articles indexed. In EBSCO, use Advanced Search and limit to the Image Search option. In OVID, use Multi-Field search and select "Caption text" from the drop down to find images by words in captions.

Find Journals in Anatomy or Physiology

Journals found here are available in print at Plough Library and/or online through CBU databases. Look for the name of the journal you are interested in, for example:

  • american journal of physiology
  • anatomy and cell biology
  • clinical anatomy
