Overview

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) has a rich tradition of producing quality civil engineering graduates for industry and for graduate school. Our ABET accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is available to you alongside concentrations in structural, transportation, geotechnical, environmental/water resources, and construction engineering. You can take classes with our four full-time faculty members. The average student-teacher ratio in the classes you take is only 10:1. All CEE faculty are engaged in consulting activities and have design experience.

We know you would put your degree to a good use! Our graduates have done very well in industry over the years and our alumni are very willing to provide internships for students. The majority of our students work for organizations in the public and private sector while attending CBU. The civil engineering program can also help you prepere for graduate school.

Our students have historically fared very well in state and regional competitions against other universities in the South. In addition, our students have earned recognition for presenting papers at regional and local conferences.
