PowerPoint Templates

All University presentations must follow the CBU’s visual identity guidelines. To ensure graphic consistency and a branded CBU look to all presentations, we have developed several PowerPoint templates which can be downloaded for use with a variety of presentation needs. Most offer a variety of slide formats within the template design.

FOR FORMAL PRESENTATIONS (conferences, workshops, Board presentations, etc.)

 FOR INFORMAL PRESENTATIONS (internal meetings, casual presentations, etc.)

For best results:

• PC: Right-click on the template you wish to download and select Save Target As..

Mac: Right-click on the template you wish to download and select Save Linked File As..OR simply click on the link and the file will be downloaded to your desktop.

• Navigate to your Templates folder. This is usually in My Documents\Applications\Microsoft\Templates. For the template to work, it needs to be saved with the extension .pot or .potx

• Save the file.

PowerPoint 2010

• Use with a new presentation:

On the File tab, click New. Under Available Templates and Themes, click My Templates, select the CBU template and then click OK. (After you’ve used the template, you can click Recent Templates, choose the template that you want, and then click Create.)

• Apply to an existing presentation:

On the Formatting toolbar, click Design. (If you already have the Slide Design pane open with color schemes or animation schemes displayed, click Design Templates at the top.) To apply a design template to all slides (and the slide master), click the template you want. To apply a new template to a group of slides that currently use a different template, select one of the slides on the Slides tab; in the task pane, point to the template and click the arrow, and then click Apply to Master.

PowerPoint for Mac 2011

• Use with a new presentation:
On the File tab, click New from Template, then select My Templates and choose the CBU template(s)
• Apply to an existing presentation:
On the Themes toolbar/tab, hover mouse above the horizontal scroll and click the downward arrow that appears, then select Browse Themes. Navigate to My Templates and select the CBU template(s).
