How to configure Mac OS X for the CBU
network
BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE FILLED OUT AND TURNED IN
A DORM NETWORK REQUEST
FORM TO THE HELPDESK BEFORE PROCEEDING.
1. Bring up the "Network" System Preferences:

Go to the Apple Menu

Click on "System Preferences"

Click on "Network"
-
Click on the "Show" menu and choose "Built-in Ethernet."

The Ethernet "TCP/IP" Window should now be active.

2. Change the configuration settings as follows:

Click the "Configure IPv4" menu, and select "Using DHCP Server."

Enter the following into the "DNS Server" box, separated by new lines:
192.168.10.15
192.168.10.6
-
Enter the following into "Search Domains" box: cbu.edu
-
Click the "Apply Now" button to save the changes. Your window should look
similar to Figure 1 above.

Click the red button on the title bar to close System Preferences.
