1.2 What is an alternate URL if the normal login does not work?

Under some circumstances you can get to the entry page without any difficulties by using the normal login URL but when you click on "Log in to", the next page displays an error message indicating that the page is forbidden. If this happens to you, try using the following URL instead.

Your WebCT username is normally the same as your email username. Your email username is the portion of your email address in front of @cbu.edu. If your email username is less than four characters long, your WebCT username is your email username with underscore characters added to bring the WebCT username up to a length of four characters. e.g. If your email username is abc, then your WebCT username is abc_ .

Your WebCT password is the same password that you use for email.

Login to WebCT requires that cookies be turned on in your browser for the site. If cookies are not turned on, then after you enter your username and password you will be returned to the same screen again and again without any error message being given. Instructions for turning on cookies in your browser for this site are located at http://www.webct.com/tuneup. Pay special attention to the portion on turning on cookies.

In order to access WebCT 6, The URL for entry is: http://webct6.cbu.edu. This version also uses the same username and password as email.

The PC or Mac accessing this version must have Java version 1.5 installed. Click on "Check Browser" in the upper right hand corner of the screen to determine if your computer is compatible with this version.
