Find your MAC address
How to find your MAC (Adapter) Address in Windows 95, 98, Me

  • First go to the Start Button
  • Go to Run
  • Type: winipcfg, then hit <Enter>

  • A window titled "IP configuration" will appear. (See Figure 1)

  • Click on the pull down menu and select your Ethernet card
  • The MAC address is the same as the Adapter Address
  • Copy that onto the Network Request Form to turn into the helpdesk.

If you don't see your Network Card in the list you will have to install it. If you have installed it and you still don't see it you will have to contact the ITS center, and possibly the manufacturer of the card.
