Find your MAC address
How to find your MAC address in MacOS X 10.5 (Leopard)


1. Bring up your "System Preferences" Window

  • Go to the Apple and Click on it so that the menu drops down
  • Go to the "Location" Sub Menu, and go to "Network Preferences..." (See Figure 1.)

  • The "System Preferences" Window will open on your screen in the Network Control Panel. (See Figure 2.)

2. Locate your Ethernet MAC address:

  • Click on "Built-in Ethernet." Then, click "Advanced...", and click on the "Ethernet" tab. Look for the "Ethernet ID" on this screen. (See Figure 3.)

3. Locate your AirPort MAC address: (Optional)

  • Clickon "AirPort," and click "Advanced..." Then, click on the tab labeled "AirPort." Look for the "AirPort ID" on this screen. (See Figure 4.)
