CQ Researcher Plus Archive (Congressional Quarterly)     Full-Text

CQ Researcher Plus Archive contains more than 3,000 reports and analysis of issues in the news. CQ Researcher is noted for its in-depth, unbiased coverage of health, social trends, criminal justice, international affairs, education, the environment, technology, and the economy. Reports are published 44 times a year. Each CQ Researcher report is based on a common structure. The first section or "Overview" introduces the key issue; the "Background" provides a history of the issue, with mention of any key policies. The most popular is the "Pro/Con" section which provides position statements from opposing persons or groups.

JSTOR (JSTOR)     Full-Text

JSTOR provides complete electronic backfiles of core journals in various subjects. Full-text coverage begins at the first issue of each journal and usually ends within five years of the present. Current and recently published issues are not available in JSTOR. Covers anthropology, Asian studies;, ecology, economics, education, finance, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population studies, and sociology. As of October 2006, we have access to three JSTOR collections: Arts & Sciences I (title list); Arts & Sciences II (title list), and Arts & Sciences IV (title list).
Funds for the JSTOR Archive Capital Fee were generously provided by an anonymous donor.

LexisNexis Academic primarily covers three areas: news, business, and legal research. News coverage includes top news, general news topics, news transcripts, and foreign language news sources. Business coverage includes company industry and market news, company financial information, accounting, auditing, and tax information. Legal Research covers law reviews, federal case law, U.S. Code, and state legal research. LexisNexis also includes general medical and health topics and medical abstracts.

Medline/PUBMED (Free Internet source)     Citations and abstracts

The PubMed search system provides access to the PubMed database which is drawn primarily from MEDLINE and PREMEDLINE. In addition for participating journals that are indexed selectively for MEDLINE PubMed includes all articles from that journal not just those that are included in MEDLINE. Finally PubMed also provides access to the molecular biology databases included in NCBI's Entrez retrieval system.

Wiley InterScience is an online journal service from John Wiley and Sons. CBU users have full-text electronic access to 219 journal titles through a partnership with TENN-SHARE.
