Plough Library encourages professors to bring
their classes to the library for sessions targeting research
methods and materials in specific disciplines.
Faculty can request an instruction session for their classes
on using library materials, the online catalog, online databases,
the Internet, or on developing research strategies. Most
faculty request these classes early in the semester to acquaint
their students with the many types of resources available
for their research. Students are most receptive when an
assignment is given with a required research component.
Call the
Instruction Librarian
at ext. 4355 to discuss the type and level of instruction
best suited to your class's needs.
Plough Library also periodically offers sessions on Internet
searching for faculty and staff. If you would like to schedule
an individualized session with the Instruction Librarian,
just call ext. 4355.
Interlibrary Loan increases the range of
publications available to CBU faculty members, staff, and
students. Faculty may request that publications not held
by Plough Library be borrowed from other libraries on a
local or national level. If you know the name of the book
or article you need via interlibrary loan,
request
forms are now online. For more information, call the
Interlibrary Loan Librarian
at ext. 4354 or see the
Interlibrary Loan Information
page.
