  • Videos, DVDs, and CDs are only available for use by CBU students, faculty and staff.
  • Users must present a valid CBU ID card.
  • Videos, DVDs, and audio CDs circulate for 3 days.
  • Only two 3-day circulating titles (videos, DVDs, and audio CDs) may be checked out at a time.

Reserve Media:

  • Faculty can put a video, DVD or CD on reserve under his or her name, if a faculty member wants students to view the media in the library or made available for restricted check out. Faculty may place reserve requests by emailing Melissa Verble at mverble@cbu.edu, by calling her at 321-3431, or by filling out the Course Reserves Request Form.
  • Only CBU media or personal copies of media may be placed on reserve - videos, DVDs, and CDs owned by other institutions may not be placed on reserve.
  • Faculty determine whether the media can leave the library and the length of checkout time, if applicable.

Reservations:

  • Faculty may place a hold on media they will use in the classroom. Faculty should email Melissa Verble at mverble@cbu.edu or call her at 321-3431 to place videos, DVDs, and CDs on hold, at least 3 days before the date needed. The library cannot guarantee these items will be available without sufficient notice. NOTE: The library will check out the video(s), DVDs, and CDs to the faculty member's account. It is the professor's responsibility to return these items to the library in a timely manner.
  • Students, faculty and staff may reserve the TV/VCR/DVD viewing room on the library's lower level by calling Melissa Verble at 321-3431.

Responsibility:

  • Overdue fines are $1.00 per day with a maximum of $25.00 per item.
  • Lost items will incur further fines and processing fees. See librarian for details. Plough Library retains ownership of all lost items.
  • Transcripts and diplomas are held for library obligations.
  • Plough Library and Christian Brothers University hereby advise that the user agrees to and assumes all responsibility for any and all damages that may occur as a result of the use of any library resources, either foreseeable or unforeseeable by either party.
