Public Works Association
Briefings on public works infrastructure; water, solid

Civil Engineering Database
Provides access to over 95,000 bibliographic and abstracted
records. Site covers ASCE documents published since 1974
and provides access to all the ASCE journals, conference
proceedings, books, standards, manuals, magazines, and
newsletter.
- Asphalt
Institute
Contains information about the Asphalt Institute and its
work, including a FAQ section with answers to questions
that arise most often in the use of asphalt, and details
of areas of current research. Some sections of site open
to members only.

Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering
Provides news, details of conferences, links to technical
committees' pages, and regional societies contact information.

of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering
Peer-reviewed research papers on all phases of engineering

Includes a directory

and Geoenvironmental Software Directory
Catalogues over
1,246 programs in the fields of geotechnical engineering,
soil mechanics, rock mechanics, engineering geology, foundation

Information Service for Earthquake Engineering
Site
contains earthquake-related information including: full-text

From the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the
annual report card consists of short fact sheets and letter
grades for America and states in categories ranging from

site gives assessment methodology, statistics, and policy
options and covers legislation, hearings, and testimony.

Cyburbia (formerly called PAIRC - The Planning and Architecture
Internet Resource Center) contains a directory of Internet
resources relevant to planning, architecture, urbanism,
and other topics related to the built environment.

Government science organizations select their best science
information for science.gov. Includes selected authoritative
science Web sites and often hard-to-access scientific
databases (specific content varies by database).

Geological Survey Mineral Resources Program
Publications of the US Geological Survey Mineral Resources
Program available online, including bulletins, circulars,
fact sheets, reports, and project details. The Minerals
Information pages provide statistical information, including
a commodity statistics and information page, and other full
text publications.

Trade Center - Some Engineering Aspects
Basic, general information about the World Trade Center
