  • USDA Soil Surveys
    Currently, NRCS has soils maps and data available online for more than 95% of the nation's counties and expects to have data for 100% of counties in the near future. The new site will be updated and maintained online as the single authoritative source of soil survey information, USDA says.
  • Natural Sciences Links
    Extensive catalog of Internet resources on all aspects of Natural Sciences.
  • EarthTrends
    A comprehensive database covering environmental issues. Presents ten content areas, including: coastal and marine ecosystems, climate, human populations, biodiversity and agriculture. Includes data tables, country profiles and maps for each of the content areas
  • Global Change Master Directory
    The mission of the Global Change Master Directory (GCMD) is to enable the scientific community to discover and access Earth science data and services through distributed, integrated information technology systems.
  • Science.gov - Environment & Environmental Quality
    Government science organizations select their best science information for science.gov. Includes selected authoritative science Web sites and often hard-to-access scientific databases (specific content varies by database).
  • American Rivers
    Topics include dam removal and reform, channel enginering, threats to watersheds, and allocation of water resources.
  • Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
    Features abundant resources for students, educators, and the public interested in learning more about natural history. Access databases, collections information, and facts and figures.
