Master of Accountancy
MAcc Degree Program
We are very excited to announce that beginning August 2013, CBU will be offering a new Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program. This new degree program builds upon CBU’s existing expertise in accounting education and is a direct response to increasingly high market demands for accounting professionals with graduate degrees.
The new degree consists of specialized accounting coursework with two different concentrations:
- Forensic Accounting Concentration: which is one of a select few on-campus programs in the nation
- Financial Management Concentration: which emphasizes recognition and understanding of business environments and challenges faced by corporate entities including the healthcare and logistics industries.
The program also includes a CPA Review course to prepare you for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam prior to graduation.
Undergraduate students at CBU have the option of enrolling in this program as 5th year students which would allow you to meet the 150 hours requirement for the CPA exam. If you already have an undergraduate degree either from CBU or another institution and are only interested in enrolling in the graduate portion of the program, you will need to take 31 hours for the Forensic Accounting concentration or 30 hours for the Financial Management concentration. You can complete the program in two semesters (10 months). All your classes are in the evening.
Please take a look at the information that we have prepared for you as you decide if this program is a good fit for you but also do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.
