Program Format

The Cohort MBA (CMBA) program is a partnership involving you, your family, your organization, your classmates and Christian Brothers University.



The program is tailored for working professionals who are interested in staying competitive in today's ever-changing and globally expanding world of business. If you are already balancing a full work week and other obligations, you might wonder how you can possibly find the time to complete an MBA degree. Earning such a degree is never easy; the workload is demanding and challenging. For this reason we have formatted our program to make the experience convenient, enjoyable, personalized and, most of all, rewarding.



Cohort Program

The CMBA program structured around cohort groups of 20-25 students. Two or more new groups of cohorts are formed twice each year, in March and October. Students remain with the same cohort groups, taking each course sequentially, for the duration of the 27 month program. Each course meets one night per week, from 6-10PM, over an eight-week time frame. By starting more than one cohort at each start, students have the flexibility of attending class on the alternate night, if necessary.

Curriculum

The 35-hour CMBA curriculum consists of 11 courses and Orientation taken in sequential order, one course at a time. The curriculum is designed so students focus on one subject area at a time, allowing for more in-depth learning, concentration, and application of each business discipline. A student must complete the 8 core courses and 3 elective courses, which will be their area of concentration, to be considered for graduation. All of the courses have been designed to complement the varied experiences of our students. The curriculum includes a well-balanced mix of formal classroom student-instructor contact, assigned homework, individual and group projects, report writing, lectures and case studies, all designed with real-world decision-making in mind.
