Favorite thing about CBU: Service-oriented students. CBU’s mission is founded on service in community, and I frequently see students living this mission out in the Memphis community.
Best thing about your job:
Moving from high school to college is much like approaching a high dive board as you get ready to make a leap into the pool. It can be overwhelming, strategic, stressful, intentional, and confusing. I love working with students as they navigate the move to college to ensure they get the best spring possible, and to make sure they don’t belly flop!
What would you say to a student who isn’t sure whether CBU is the right place for them?
First, no college is right for every student. Ask yourself what you want out of college, and can CBU offer that? Second, get on campus and talk with the faculty within your major. This will give you a good clue as to whether CBU is a good fit for you!

Favorite thing about CBU: The small community and spiritual environment
One piece of advice for a successful application: Ensure that you are honest on all of your responses (honesty is the best policy!)☺
What would you say to a student who isn’t sure whether CBU is the right place for them? If you are searching for a place that’s not too big and has educators who are not only teachers, but mentors who value your education and want to ensure that you are more than prepared for your career, then CBU is the place for you!

One piece of advice for a successful application: Be proactive about deadlines — submitting your application and other admissions documents early will help ease the stress of the college application process.
What would you say to a student who isn’t sure whether CBU is the right place for them? Come visit campus! Feeling comfortable in your environment and connected to your community are fundamental to a positive and successful college experience – visiting campus and getting a feel for student life is the best way to know if CBU is the right place for you.

Favorite thing about CBU: All of the amazing people! There isn’t a single place that you can go to on-campus and feel unwelcomed. Even on a bad day, anyone can make you smile.
Best thing about your job: I love meeting new people and helping students figure out their next step in life. College is a big step, but it doesn’t have to be a scary process, and it’s my job to guide them and make transitioning as easy (and fun) as possible.
What would you say to a student who isn't sure whether CBU is the right place for them: VISIT CAMPUS. I know that everyone says that, but it’s true! Ask questions, talk to professors – talk to current students in your major about their experience! As an alum of CBU, touring campus really sealed the deal for me; I instantly knew that I wouldn’t be able to replicate my experience anywhere else.
