The Distance Education Network (DEN) is designed to provide a quality education to students:

  • in economically developed countries outside of the United States of America.

  • in developing countries, which otherwise do not have access to this type of education.

  • beyond the commuting distance to the CBU campus located in Memphis, Tennessee.

  • in engineering and technical professions who work full-time and are not able to come to campus.

    3. How long does it take to earn a degree?

    This depends on the rate at which courses are taken. Students enrolled on a part-time basis may complete the program in two years. Full-time students may complete the program in one year.

    4. Will my degree be from DEN or from Christian Brothers University?

    DEN students are no different from on campus Christian Brothers University students. The same requirements and curriculum apply, so your degree is the same, issued by Christian Brothers University.

    5. What type of Master’s Certificate Program does Christian Brothers University offer?

    Christian Brothers University currently offers a Master's Certificate in Information Technology.

    If you decide to apply to the Master of Science in Engineering Management Program or Master of Engineering Management Program after completion of the Master’s Certificate, the courses taken for the Master’s Certificate may be applied towards your degree.
