Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM)
Program Format and Curriculum

The Master of Science in Engineering Management program emphasizes the theories, concepts, and applications of the engineering management discipline. Students will conduct research to identify and propose solutions to engineering management problems. The capstone of the program will be the completion of the Thesis.

PROGRAM FORMAT - Courses are offered on weekday evenings throughout the year. Each class meets one night a week for 15 weeks. This format supports part-time students completing all course work within two years. Full-time students may complete the program in one year. Students working full-time normally may take no more than six credit hours each semester. Special permission will be required from the Program Director for additional hours. All requirements for the Master of Science in Engineering Management degree must be completed within five years.

In addition to regular classroom instruction, all courses for the MSEM degree are available on-line via the Distance Education Network (DEN) for students beyond the commuting distance to the Christian Brothers University campus.

CURRICULUM - The Master of Science in Engineering Management degree consists of 33 semester hours of academic work, which consists of nine required courses and two elective courses. The Thesis (ENGM 696) should be the last course taken. Students are expected to achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of B (3.0 on 4.0 scale).
