How long does it take to complete the program?
The program format allows students to earn their MIB in a year.
What is the tuition cost?
Current 2013-2014 tuition for the program is $26,250, which covers the cost for all books, course materials, meals on class days, and four-star hotel accommodations during the two-week International Immersion Module.
Does the schedule of classes change from year to year?
No, the schedule and course sequence will remain consistent, so that students will start and successfully finish their MBA with their cohort. The start for graduates of the MBA Program at CBU is January 2014 and for the general public – June 2014.
What are the prerequisites?
There are no undergraduate level prerequisites in the Master of International Business Program. However, a student must hold a Master level business-related degree from a regionally accredited institution for admission consideration.
Is this program only for undergraduate business majors?
No, this program was developed for working professionals who have already earned an MBA or similar graduate business degree, seeking to excel in the global marketplace.
I have already completed some graduate classes; can I transfer credits?
Due to the dual nature of the MIB program, it is not possible to transfer credits into the program.
What is the program format?
Courses are taught in modules; Module One is delivered in an alternating Saturday format, Module Two is delivered in a hybrid Saturday and on-line format, and Module Three is delivered over a two week international trip to Barcelona, Spain. Each June cohort will take classes sequentially as a group of approximately 20.
What degrees will I earn by completing the MIB program?
A student who completes the 31-hour MIB curricula will graduate with a Master of International Business from CBU and a Master of International Business from Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, Spain.
Is CBU an accredited institution? What about Ramon Llull University?
CBU is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 South Lane; Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097; telephone number (404) 679-4501) to award the Bachelor's Degree and the Master's Degree. Ramon Llull University is part of the European Higher Education Area and is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). The institution is also a member of AACSB International.
