(Memphis)—Beginning this summer, Christian Brothers University will offer a new certificate program in project management.
The program is designed for both newcomers who want to gain knowledge and a better understanding of project management and for project management professionals (PMP’s) who want to enhance their skills. The program requires nine credit hours and can be completed in just six months.
According to program director, Dr. Bev Pray, “Project management skills have long been recognized as important to the engineering and development sides of organizations and management is realizing more and more that the planning and action skills necessary in project management are applicable throughout organizations.”
Students in the project management certificate program will take courses in project management, organization, planning and leadership and project execution and control. Classes will meet Monday nights from 6-10 p.m.
The courses in the certificate program can be applied to graduate programs at CBU for students earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a Master of Engineering Management (MEM). Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
