Fidelity Investments Donates $12,000 to “Power Talks for Women” Series

Power Talks for Women investorsMemphis – Fidelity Investments (Germantown) donated $12,000 to sponsor the “Power Talks for Women” series being presented by Christian Brothers University (CBU). Fidelity Investments knows the value of empowering women and providing opportunities for them to enhance their leadership skills.

CBU’s “Power Talks for Women” series began in November 2007 and is held on a quarterly basis. The series is designed to provide a format for women in the Memphis Metropolitan Area to continue growing their professional and personal skills that will enable them to succeed both in the workplace and at home. Tonna Bruce, Graduate & Professional Studies dean, notes, “Women who are successful in the workplace are also strong contributors to the success of their families and communities. By continuing to strengthen our diverse workforce, the community realizes true economic growth.”

The series was kicked off with Gayle Rose, CEO and primary owner of Electronic Vaulting Services and was followed this past Thursday with a presentation by Cathy Ross, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for FedEx, who spoke on five personal strategies that she sees as vital to career growth and professional development.
