Hayden was the Lady Bucs’ assistant coach this spring, helping guide CBU to a 21-25 season, tying the school record for wins in a season.
“The players on this year’s team really like Kimmi,” Nadicksbernd said. “I believe she is a perfect fit to be our new coach. She is extremely organized and is excited about this opportunity to coach college softball.”
The San Diego native was a three-year starter as catcher for the University of Memphis before suffering a career-ending injury. She graduated magna cum laude from the Sports Management program at U of M, and is currently enrolled in its graduate program,
Hayden replaces Donna Crone, who was CBU’s head coach for 10 years before being promoted to Assistant Athletics Director / Compliance Coordinator. ###
