Lambuth Day at CBU

Students Invited to Experience Life at CBU

Memphis- Christian Brothers University (CBU) is extending a warm welcome to current Lambuth University students on May 6 beginning at 11:30 a.m. with an experience designed especially to acquaint them with campus life at CBU. In keeping with the University’s Lasallian mission, and also being a private, religiously affiliated institution, CBU is working with Lambuth administrative officials to ensure that each student makes a smooth transition to completing their educational studies.

On May 6, current Lambuth students will experience firsthand life as a CBU student. They will get a glimpse of life at CBU by touring the campus, having lunch in Alfonso Dining Hall, and meeting the Deans to learn about the academic offerings. They will have the opportunity to mingle with CBU students and get a sense of the community. In addition, Lambuth students will also experience life in Memphis including local “must have” barbeque which will be served for dinner, followed by an outdoor movie on Maurelian Lawn.  Students wanting to check out residence life will be able to spend the night in one of the CBU residence halls.  This experience is being offered by CBU to all current Lambuth students at no charge to them.

CBU is in the process of completing a Teach-Out Agreement with Lambuth University and will accept all students in good academic standing. The agreement notes that earned credit will be accepted, core requirements taken at Lambuth will satisfy CBU’s general education requirement, and residency requirements will be suspended. On the financial side, CBU will match dollar-for-dollar each Lambuth scholarship award.
