CBU to Hold Open House for New BSN Program

Memphis- Christian Brothers University (CBU) is holding its first Open House for the new RN to BSN Program Tuesday, June 21, 4:00-7:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Cooper-Wilson Center for Life Sciences. |

Convenient and affordable, this accelerated RN to BSN Program begins August 2011 and is designed for nurses seeking to further advance their careers in nursing. The program provides Registered Nurses a unique alternative to the traditional method of pursuing a bachelor’s degree. This program is a transformational learning experience leading to personal and professional skill development to meet the needs of Registered Nurses previously prepared at the ADN or diploma level.

Using a cohort-based learning module, the CBU Nursing Program will provide registered nurses (RN) a path to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) within 18 months. Cohorts of 20-25 adult learners will share the academic experience as a cohesive group participating in active learning to enhance nursing knowledge and cognitive skills, including synthesis, analysis and evaluation. Cohort classes begin twice a year, in August and January, and are offered in an evening studies schedule which meets one night per week.

Applications are currently being accepted for the cohort which begins in August.  For more information on the Open House or how to enroll in CBU’s new BSN program, contact the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies at www.cbu.edu/nursing or call (901) 321-3291.  ###
