Lady Bucs Seventh in NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs are No. 7 in the NCAA Division II South Regional Rankings announced today, their first appearance in the regional rankings since 2009.

Defending national champion West Florida holds the top spot, followed by Tampa. Valdosta State holds the No. 3 spot, with Sunshine State Conference foes Barry, Florida Tech, and Rollins ranked fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively. The Lady Bucs are seventh, followed by Saint Leo and West Alabama.

The regional rankings are used to select and seed the six-team NCAA South Regional. The GSC and SSC champions earn automatic bids, and the rankings fill the four at-large berths and seed the field. The top two teams in the rankings host three-team sub-regionals Nov. 15-17, with the regional championship set for Nov. 22.
