Meet The Firms:  For Juniors, Seniors, Masters Candidates & Recent Grads in Accounting & Finance
Tuesday, September 2nd
6:00-7:15 pm in Buckman 211 (Montesi)
This is your chance to meet one on one with representatives of more than a dozen organizations who heavily recruit students in Accounting & Finance areas.  If you wish to attend, RSVP through your CareerLinX account, AND submit a resume to Cathy Lantrip (clantrip@cbu.edu) no later than this Wednesday, August 27th.  (Please submit a resume to Cathy even if you already have one in your CareerLinX file.)

Vector Marketing will have an information table outside Alfonso Dining Hall on Tuesday, September 2nd from 10:00 to 1:00, sharing information about available positions with their company.

FCC Forrest City will have an information table outside Alfonso Dining Hall on Tuesday, September 9th from 11:00 to 1:00, sharing information about available positions with their organization.

Whether you’ve never done a resume before, or have one you want to polish, this workshop can help!  RSVP by September 8th.

Pizza & Professionals:  Sedgwick
Thursday, September 11th – 12:30 to 1:30 pm, Buckman 112
Come learn about the organization, who they are, what they do, and about some of the positions they typical hire…and, enjoy free pizza!  What a deal!  RSVP by September 10th.  Open to all interested students; company has a particular interest in recruiting seniors in Computer Science, MIS/ITM, Electrical Engineering, Math, and related technology areas.

Tuesday, September 16th – 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Buckman 211 (Montesi)
The first workshop in our First Impressions Series….learn everything from how to give a professional handshake, to how to type professional emails, and everything in between.  First 25 registrants received a free business card holder!  RSVP no later than September 12th.

Mock Interview Day:  Wednesday, September 17th
Sign up through your CareerLinx account to schedule a practice interview with a recruiter who typically hires lots of CBU graduates!  This is a great way to brush up on your interviewing skills, and get great feedback about your strengths and weaknesses.  You must register through your CareerLinX account no later than September 15th.

A Career & Internship Expo for Science, Technology, Engineering & Math Majors
Thursday, September 18th – 12:00 to 2:00 pm, Buckman 211 (Montesi)
Join us for this opportunity to meet around a dozen employers who hire STEM major students and alumni into internships and full-time positions.  Dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes!  Companies such as International Paper, Mitsubishi Electric, MLG&W, Valero, The West Clinic, and others are already confirmed to attend!

Practice Test Drive:
For The GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, DAT, OAT & PCAT Practice Test

Tuesday, September 23rd – 2:00 to 5:00 pm
This is an opportunity to take a retired version (in some cases, slightly abbreviated) of a retired test, minus the essay portions.  It’s a great way to see your areas of strength, and areas of weakness, and where you need to study further.  RSVP thru CareerLinX by September 18th.

Graduate School Expo:  Thursday, September 25th – 12:00 to 2:00 pm, Canale Arena
Are you are current student or alum, considering an advanced degree?  Then this is a can’t-miss event.  Approximately 50 programs from across the country will be attending to share information about their programs.  Make plans to attend!  Open to all students and alumni in all majors!!
