Engineering Student Wins Lasallian Fellows Award

Congratulations to William Zachary (Chemical Engineering ’13), a 2013 Lasallian Fellows Award winner. The Lasallian Fellows Program is made possible by the generosity of CBU trustee Joyce Mollerup and her husband Bob Buckman. It is an annual fellowship program awarding $5,000 each to five members of the senior class whose scholarship, leadership and service reflect CBU’s Lasallian values.

Zachary (pictured above, 2nd from left) is the go-to-guy when chemical engineering students need assistance with course work due to his ability to counsel and mentor students helping them learn how to solve problems and improve their study skills. He was chosen as a Peer Counselor for two years, and was much loved and appreciated by the freshmen in his groups. His fraternity has benefitted from his service as Risk Management Officer and faithful frater. Zachary has served as Treasurer and President of the CBU chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He is also an energetic participant in Up ’til Dawn, and serves as Sacristan of the Sunday evening CBU Mass.
