Workshops

High School Engineering Workshops are afternoon programs designed to familiarize students with one or more aspects of engineering.

Engineering is a tremendously varied and challenging field offering the potential for highly rewarding careers. Unfortunately, many young people who have the potential for great success as an engineer also lack knowledge of the opportunities an engineering career offers.

Our workshop programs seek to provide a better understanding of the options an engineering education provides. Students may attend individually or with a few friends. Some workshop programs are expanded versions of presentations from our High School Speakers program. Many include hands-on activities and/or laboratory demonstrations.

We try to schedule a workshop every semester. If you would like to be notified of our upcoming events, please email engineering@cbu.edu with your name, grade, and school. We'll add you to our electronic mailing list.
