Fauzia Khan, D.D.S.
A 1996 CBU graduate in sciences with minors in biology and chemistry, Fauzia Khan followed her dream to attend dental school and establish a successful private practice. She has done all those things.
A native of St. Louis, MO she reflects fondly on CBU, and the family of faculty and fellow students who made her feel welcome. "I was a first generation Muslim American and felt so welcome at CBU. The diversity of backgrounds and cultures is wonderful. The pre-dental program was rigorous and really gave me an edge in dental school.
"I chose CBU because of the small class sizes. I just didn't want to be another social security number as I would have been if I would've attended a large state university. I knew my professors on a personal level and could seek their assistance very easily, since their office doors were always open for any help we may have needed," says Fauzia.
"I was involved in the Peer Tutor program, as well as Peer Orientation, Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society and the Honors Program in English."
Dr. Fauzia Khan smiles when talking about her years as a CBU student. Now she's helping others keep theirs.
