Scholarship Competitions

*Please Note: You may only partcipate in ONE of the following scholarship competitions. If you qualify, our recommendation is to participate in the scholarship that would offer you the most participation award. You MUST be accepted to Christian Brothers University to be eligible to participate.


Trustee Scholarship

The Trustee Scholarship is the most prestigious academic scholarship available at CBU. This merit-based scholarship benefits four outstanding students for academic performance. Invited students will interview with CBU faculty and staff for a chance to receive the Trustee Scholarship. Requirements are listed below. 

Requirements: ACT Composite of 28 or higher
There is a $2,000 scholarship for all who participate in the interview day. Please note that space is limited.

Leadership Scholarship

The Award: The Leadership Scholarship is awarded to one outstanding student leader at each competition event. Recipients of these full tuition scholarships will also receive support from Student Life in developing a new student organization that can have a lasting impact on the University.

The Competition: Participants will engage in group activities and a personal interview with current leaders in the CBU community, faculty members and students, for a chance to prove their leadership history and potential.

Requirements: Must be accepted, incoming Freshman for Fall 2020.

Participation: Even if you are not one of the recipients of the full scholarship, you'll receive an annual $1,500 scholarship just for fully participating in the day's activities.

Pascal Fellowship in Computer Science and Mathematics sponsored by FedEx

The Pascal Fellowship in Computer Science and Mathematics sponsored by FedEx is a unique program that awards students each year with scholarships as well as internship opportunities. Students must major in Computer Science but may double major in any other field. Preference will be given to students from the region with a 30 or higher Math ACT and a minimum GPA of 3.5. CBU will solicit applications and accept students into the program on a competitive basis. Beginning in the 2016-17 academic year,  new awardees annually will receive full four-year scholarships to CBU, offsetting all tuition and fees.  Participation Scholarship: $2,000


Engage Scholarship

The CBU Engage Scholarship is a scholarship event designed for students who plan to become involved at CBU. Participants will engage with current students and student organizations.  Students who attend will be placed in a drawing for a $5,000 scholarship, renewable annually.

Even if you aren’t the student awarded the Engage Scholarship, you’ll receive a $1,000 CBU scholarship just for participating in the day’s activities.

Endeavor Scholarship

The Award: The Endeavor Scholarship is a scholarship competition for highly qualified students who have demonstrated the potential to succeed in Christian Brothers University’s challenging academic programs. One full-tuition scholarship will be awarded. 

The Competition: Students competing for the Endeavor Scholarship will be invited to campus to participate in a scholarship competition that will give them the chance to demonstrate their problem-solving abilities, their critical and creative thinking skills, and the occasion to show CBU how they achieve —and how they define — success. 

Requirements: Applicants must submit a request for participation and have a minimum ACT of 25 or SAT Combined Math and Reading Score of 1200.
