To be held 28-29 September 2007 in Memphis, TN Modified from the 2003 Press Release by Denise McMahon Individuals and teams may run or walk as much as they wish during the 24-hour period. Those on teams will pass the team’s timing chip to the next participant when their “shift" is complete. For both individuals and teams, the number of loops completed on the certified 1-mile course is automatically tallied throughout the 24 hours. All entrants will receive a race goody bag and commemorative t-shirt, and will be eligible for many door prizes. Other planned on-site activities include a Haitian Artwork silent auction featuring handcrafted Haitian art, a Pasta Dinner on Friday evening (5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.), a designated camping area for families and teams, a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning (7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.), and a Health Fair on Saturday morning (7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.). The event will culminate with a Race Wrap-Up Party on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Door prizes and awards will be presented to the top individuals in their age group, as well as to the top male, female and mixed team. Grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, and cold drinks will be available.
