  • Minimum total number of credits required for graduation with a B.S. in Biology: 122.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0 in Biology courses is required for graduation.
  • Transfer students must take at least 20 hours of biology at or above the 300 level at Christian Brothers University.
Notes:
  1. Students may need to take MATH 117 and/or CHEM 101 if they do not place into MATH 131 and/or CHEM 113.
  2. A minimum of 6 hours of free electives is required; no more than 4 hours can be in Biology (unless added to 122 cr. graduation minimum).
  3. A minimum of 30 hours of biology electives must be selected, including at least one course from Group III (listed below); maximum number of Biology hours is 61 (unless added to the 122 minimum for graduation).  Additional Biology Electives applicable to the degree, but not included in the Groups listed below are listed in the CBU Catalog. [Course descriptions for CBU Biology courses]
  4. Moral Values elective:  Phil 322 is strongly recommended.  Choose a Philosophy course: PHIL 213, 219, 220, 224, 234, 321, 322, 323, 324, 325 or 340.
