Quantitative Analysis Laboratory

Catalog Data A course which covers analytical procedures and sources of error, procedures of volumetric and gravimetric analysis, electrogravimetry, potentiometric titrations, and spectrophotometric analysis. Offered in the spring semester. One semester; two credits.

The Official Laboratory Research Notebook
Prerequisite: CHEM 114 and CHEM 114L.
Calculator Policy You must have a graphing calculator available during laboratory.
Goals The course is designed to:
1. Equip the student basic statistical techniques for analyzing the quality of laboratory data.
2. Equip the student with basic techniques for wet chemical analysis and interpretation of data.
3. Equip the student with an in depth understanding of chemical equilibrium.

Attendance All experiment must be performed during the scheduled semester. Students work at their own pace.
