CHEM 415L Departmental Syllabus
Analytical Chemistry Laboratory

Catalog Data Experiments dealing with basic electronics, optical spectroscopy, non-optical spectroscopy, electrochemical analysis, and chromatography are performed. Offered in the spring semester. One semester; two credits.
Textbooks Condren, S. M. Analytical Chemistry: Instrumental Analysis, 2002.
Prerequisite: CHEM 415
Calculator Policy You must have a graphing calculator available during laboratory.
Goals The course is designed to:
1. Equip the student basic statistical techniques for analyzing the quality of laboratory data.
2. Equip the student with basic techniques for instrumental chemical analysis and interpretation of data.
