Senior Seminar

Completion of senior research project including preparation of presentation for professional meeting, making that presentation (oral presentation except for national ACS meetings), and submission of report in the style of a refereed journal. In addition, a poster will be prepared for showing at the campus poster session. Your research must be presented to a meeting of the Student Affiliates. Attendance at one or more seminars or professional meetings is expected. A paragraph summary of the seminar will be submitted. Offered in the spring semester. One semester; two credits.

Goals

The course is designed to:
1. Teach how to make an oral presentation.
2. Teach how to assemble a poster presentation.
3. Teach how to write a manuscript for a refereed publication.

Syllabus

Completion of senior research project.

Presentation of Research at professional meeting (oral presentation except for national ACS meetings).

Submission of report in the style of a refereed journal.

Preparation of poster for CBU Student Research Poster Session.

Presentation at a meeting of the Student Affiliates.
