  Degrees
The Department of Mathematics in the School of Sciences offers a four year program leading to either a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of science degree in mathematics.

A mathematics major may obtain a dual degree in math and computer science.

A mathematics major may obtain a license to teach high school in Tennessee with an arts degree.

The department has a multidisciplinary program that combines mathematics with bioinformatics and biology or chemistry and another that combines mathematics with forensics.

  Test
Some students may need to take an on-line placement test.

Math 105, Finite Math, has a prerequisite of Math 101, Fundamentals of Algebra, or passing a placement test.
