The following general services are available
on-campus to all students registered with the Student Disability Services
Office:
· Orientation to using disability services
· Semester plan for accommodations and services
· Memos to faculty about disability needs
· Advocacy relating to disability access issues
· Information and guidance on academic, social, career, and personal
issues
· Referral to other University departments and community agencies
· Liaison with State and Federal rehabilitation agencies
Local Resources for Assessments of LD and AD/HD
There are many excellent diagnosticians in
the Memphis area who are able to perform psycho educational assessments
for learning disabilities (LD) and diagnose and treat attention
deficit/hyperactivity disorder(AD/HD). We recommend that you conduct a
telephone interview with any potential service provider before making a
final selection.
