A major portion of this class consists of projects. Four of the five
projects due during the course of this class are linked below.
The first project (project
1) caused some issues. This should be a descriptive paper. No
equations and few numbers. Descriptions. Think of it as an english
paper not a statistics project.
The second project (project
2) is a straight forward statistical project. (Requires SPSS or
similar program)
The third project (project
3) is a straight forward statistical project. (Requires SPSS or
similar program)
The fourth project was more involved. First, you must choose something
of interest to you about which you are able to gather data and about
which you have a hypothesis. (Examples:
1. Number of cars passing through a certain intersection between 9am and 11am.
2. Weight of kindergarden children in public schools
3. Number of CBU students who play chess
etc.)
Second, collect the data and discuss your samlping method (Random?
Stratified? Grouped?) Finally, do a complete statistical work up and
test your original hypothesis.
The fifth project (project
5) is a project (taken from the text) about linear regression
