Note 2:

Taking Placement Test begins Monday 11/14:

 You must get 15 or better (out of 25) in order to pass the course.  You may take it as many times as you want.

 The test can be taken only in S116 (Math Center) or S151 (our classroom).  You will need to have a tutor or

 teacher to give you a password.  You may not use a calculator. You can go to the WebCT site by going to the

WebCT Homepage on the CBU Intranet or just click here: WebCT Homepage .  Be sure to read the directions.  Take the ALGEBRA TEST; the Practice Test WILL NOT count!

If you complete or improve any of the Computer Tests after class Friday, December 9 you  M U S T  follow the directions in Note 1 above and tack the paper to my office door or place it in the tray on my door.  It must be there by noon Tuesday!  No exceptions.

 

If you would like a final copy of your Electronic Markbook grade bring a self-addressed stamped envelope to the final exam.

 

Exams are not returned to you by department policy.  However, you may see your exam.  For that purpose I will keep the exams in my office until Friday of the second week of the Spring semester.  After that the exams will be discarded.

 

Prepare for the exam by reviewing past tests, past homeworks and then the chapter tests at the end of each section especially the last three sections.  The exam consists of 36 questions, all basic.  If you can do your homework you can do well on the exam.  

 

If you would like to see your grade before the exam drop by my office between now and the exam.  If you are coming from off campus, call first: 321-3442.

 Homework Submission Procedure

 

Daily Homework Procedures Short Form:

 

1.  Use lineless 8.5" by  11" paper.                                                                         §

2.  Show all necessary work providing clear, yet concise explanations.

3.  Use a straightedge to draw straight lines.  Quadrille paper is required for graphs; label axes and the scale marks and 
     points as is appropriate.

4.  Staple all work together;  paper clips and dog-earing are not acceptable.

5.  Place your first and last name, course and section, date assigned and section /problem numbers  in the upper right-hand 
     corner.
