MATH 117 Precalculus

Catalog description: The goal of the course is to teach the student the basic concepts of college algebra and trigonometry. Topics include elements of algebra, quadratic equations, word problems, functions, graphs, exponential and logarithmic functions, right triangle trigonometry and trigonometric functions. The course stresses problem solving by the student with a specific type of graphing calculator.

Note: You must earn at least a "C" in Math 117 to be eligible to take Math 131 Calculus I.
