Temperature of the Sun
When we look at the visible spectra of the sun, we see that it’s intensity peaks at about 500 nm (green light). From the equation:
? = b/T (where b = 2.9 x 10-3m*K)
we get: T = b/? = (2.9 x 10-3m*K) / 500 x 10-9m
? 6000 K .
