Cost of Energy
In Memphis, MLG&W charges about 5 cents per KW-hr. Thus, if you were to work for the power company providing power, you would earn about 8 KW-hr/week * $.05 = $.40/week (40 cents per week)!
As we see, energy is quite cheap! The reason our utility bills are so high is that we use so much energy - especially when we heat (or cool) things (like air and water)!
